How can Change Financial Year Period in SwilERP Software


Why is a Financial Year change required?


Generally, an accounting period is from 1st April to 31st March. Hence, on 31st March closing of the accounts is done, new books are started for the new financial year, and the balance is carried forward to the new financial year. If the user wants to make any changes in the last financial year, they can do it with the help of the Change Financial Year option. The process of changing the financial year is effortless.
In the SwilERP Software, there is an option in the 'System' section to change the Financial Year.


  • Kindly follow the basic steps to change the Financial Year:

Start with Login in the SwilERP dashboard to initiate the process:

  1. To change the Financial Year, click on the System menu.
  2. Select System Maintenance > Change Financial Year.

After that, the Change Financial Year window will appear:

  1. As you can see in the below window, all the financial years are given.

  1. Suppose that you want to go in the financial year of "01-04-2021 to 31-03-2022" to do needful changes.
  2. In that condition, double-click on the selected financial year.

  1. After that a "Financial Year Has been Changed Successfully" message will appear.
  2. Press Ok to continue.

       

 Note:  Now after changed Financial Year the Users can do any transaction or modification in the previous transactions.
