How to Change Gmail Settings to Send E-Mails through SwilERP Software

Google has recently announced a new feature that allows you to change Gmail settings to send emails. To use this feature, you will need to make some adjustments to your Google account settings. Once you have completed the setup process, you can send emails directly from the integrated software. To learn how to change your Google settings, follow the simple steps outlined below.
This article will guide you through updating your Google settings to adapt to the latest changes


Step 1: First Manage your Google Account

  1. Open your Gmail account & press on your Gmail photo which shows on the right upper side of the URL. 
  2. After that, click on the "Manage your Google Account" option.

Step 2:  Verification and select the App Password option

  1. After that system opens a new window to change the settings. 
  2. Now click on the 'Security' option, and then the system opens Security Settings.
  3. Firstly if you have not done '2-step verification' then do this first.

  1. After that search the "App Passwords" option in the search bar & open it.

Step 3: Enter the App Password

  1. When you press on the "App Passwords" the system asks for your Gmail password.
  2. Please enter here your Gmail Password.
  3. To continue the process click on the Next button.

Step 4: Select the App and Device Name  

  1. After that system opens a new window of App passwords.
  2. Please select other (Custom Name) in Select App.
  3. Mention the Name of your software, suppose we select SwilERP in this window.
  4. Now, press on Generate button.

  1. After that system opens a new window & generates a Password in a Yellow Color box.
  2. Please copy or note down this password.

Step 5: How to do E-mail And Password Settings in SwilERP

  1. Start with login into the SwilERP dashboard to initiate the process.
  2. Select the System menu > Update Branch option.

  1. After that, the Update Branch window will appear on the next slide.
  2. Select your branch name here and click on the Edit tab.

  1. After that selected Branch window will appear.
  2. Click here on the Email Setting option.
  3. Now, the user's Mail Account window will open. 
  4. After that please enter the password that was generated while setting up your Google account.
  5. To save the details click on Ok.
  6. And the last step is, click on the Save tab to save the Update Branch window.
