How to Create Day Books Master in SwilERP


Master of Day Books

A day book is a book of original entries in which an accountant records transactions by date as they occur. Also, Day Book shows the details of daily transactions to match with the GST and Tax rate. With the day book master, you can select the series and view the details accordingly.

In SwilERP, users can create day book masters as per their transactions. This master is used for viewing day book details; you can also add a condition on it. With this you can create two types of masters i.e. "Register Type" or "Day Book Type", and also apply filter on summarized series.

Login in SwilERP dashboard to initiate the process

  1. Go to the Accounts> Reports> Day Book (Master)

A new window of Day Book Master will appear:
  1. Users can view list of Masters in this window.
  2. Here you see the Edit, Print, Delete, and Refresh options.
  3. To create a new master, click on the New option.

How to Create a New Master

  1. Go to the New option.
  2. First, enter the Day Book Name which you want to create (For example- you've entered new sales register (GST) name).
  3. Give the names in Column Headings-
    1. DrAmt Name- Debit
    2. CrAmt Name- Credit
  1. Select the type of master as "Register Type" or "Day Book Type".
  2. Users can also Select and Filter the Summarised Series.
  3. Select the column type as Account (A/C Group) to create master of day book.
  4. Account Group- After selecting an account, users can also edit the account name.
  5. Column, Dr Amt, Cr Amt details are automatically filled in the columns.
  6. Save the window to create it.
Note: By filtering the summarised series, users can view the chosen series data they want.
