Data Seed Process in SwilERP (RetailGraph)
What is data Seed ?
Data seed is a process to give a unique identification of masters in data base like series, locations etc.
Need of data seed.
Data seed is used for multiple chain companies. When a company have multiple branches and want to consolidate all branches data then all data required its own unique identification. Due to this unique identification data does not overlap each other.
Data seed is also useful when you have a common master and want to use transfer sales and purchase from Warehouse to branches or branch to branch.
Requirements for data seed.
1. There is not transaction and master created in the database.You need to use a default data for data seed.
2. Need a unique branch number for data seed.this branch number does not use in other branches.
How to Seed data.
1. Please create a new branch in branch master with the unique branch number.
2. After create branch please select this branch in all stock locations.
3. Please select the same branch in user master.
4. You Need to select the same branch in system default
5. Also change initial barcode as per branch number.for example you branch number is 2 then change initial barcode as 99902000000000.
After login your data has been seeded.You want to check the same from master PK-ID in all master.
