How to Create New Billing Head in SwilERP


A Billing Head is an accounting tool used for posting transactions related to products, services, and capital goods. It allows users to define deductions or collections within these categories. The feature enables users to create new billing heads and edit existing ones, providing flexibility in managing financial records effectively.



Start with login in SwilERP dashboard to initiate the process

  1. Go to System> Master Data> Billing Head.

In the next window, you'll view Billing Head List.
  1. From System default some billing heads have been already created in software.
  2. If users want to edit a billing head then they can also do it from the Edit Option. 
  3. The user can also create a new head from the New Option.
  4. Print, Delete, and Refresh options are also available.

How to Create New Billing Head

  1. Click on the New option.
  2. Now, add a Billing Head Name that you want to create. 
  3. Select the Posting account in which you want to post this billing head. 
  4. Then select the option of Add/ Less, if you want to add charges to the bill then select Add, and select the Less option to reduce charges.
  5. If required, then select the Tax calculate method and Tax Code which is apply for the same. 
  6. When you select Rate in percentage (%) then you will enter the value in Rate column (other wise you can skip the rate column). 
  7. Select the HSN code, if required.
  8. Select the Type in which you want to apply charges on Product, Services, and Capital Goods.
  9. If required, then tick mark in the Round off check box, then amount will be round off.
  10. If the user wants to view the details of billing head in the reports, tick in the check box of Show Detail In Report.
  11. Tick mark on the Ineligible As per Sec 17/5 , It mean if you don't want to take input of the GST paid then you can mark on the given option.
  12. The final step is, Save the Page.
