How to Create Product Category (Type) in SwilERP
What is Product category?
A product category is a type of product. An organization typically creates product categories to organize products. For example, tablets, sanitizer, syrup, and injection are examples of product categories. In SwilERP, Users can define their Product Category wise. There is an option for creating a new category, users can also edit and view the already created category.
To create and view the Category follow the below-gsteps
- From the dashboard in System section:
Go to Master data> Product information> Product Category (type).
- In the next slide, you'll see the Product Category Window:
- Now, you will view the list of previously added categories.
- Users can also create a new category with the option of New.
- There is an option of Edit and Form View to edit and view the categories.
- Print, Delete and Refresh options are also available.
To create a new Product Category:
- Go to the Category tab.
- Click on the New option.
- Now, enter the Category Name in a dialog box.
- Select Sales tax and Purchase tax.
- If required, then select the HSN code.
Note: Kindly update details in mandatory fields.
- In the Additional Details Tab.
Here you can fill required discount details at your convenience.
After that Save the Page.
