How to create tax type from master data in SwilERP

Taxes are termed as an obligatory contribution made by individuals or corporations falling under the tax slab, to the Government of India. The government’s authority to levy tax in our country is drawn from the Constitution of India that deals out the supremacy to levy taxes to the State as well as Central governments. With SwilERP, you can create Tax Type from the master data section, and also define them by selecting a transaction in same window.          

In SwilERP, the required Tax Type is already created from the system default. but, if users want to create a new tax type as per their requirements then they can create it from the master data section. You can define every celebrate of GST i.e. 5%, 12%, 18%, 28%, and others.

 

To view and create a new tax type do follow these instructions
  1. Open SwilERP dashboard in System Section: 
    1. Go to Master data> Tax Type.

  1. In the next slide, you'll see the Tax Type Window:
    1. If users want to create a new type of tax then they can create it from the option of New.
    2. To edit an already created tax type click on the Edit Option.
    3. There is also option Form View, Print, Delete and Refresh.

  1. To create a new Tax Category follow the below-given steps: 

    1. First, you have to select Sale/Purchase in which tax will be applied. 
    2. Now, Select the Tax type from drop down list on which you want to apply tax.
    3. Select Tax Category (0,3,5,12,18 or other). 
    4. Add Tax code, if you want to give any code to this tax type. 
    5. Enter the Description of the tax type. 
    6. Now, select posting account- 
      1. First, choose the tax i.e. CGST, SGST.
      2. Select the account name in which your taxable amount will show. 
    1. SGST and CGST rate and all further details will be filed automatically. 

  1. In the Additional Details window you can add more details of tax:
  2. The final step is, Save the Page.
Additional Tax Rates
  1. To Print and Preview the Tax List: 

    1. Go to the View option.
    2. Click on the Print and Preview option to print your List.

  1. To Export in Excel Format and Search details of Tax: 

    1. Go to the Options tab.
    2. Click on the option of Export to Excel to convert into excel format.
    3. Click on the Detail Search option to search tax details.
