How to Enter closting stock value in balance sheet ?
When you view final accounts - Balance Sheet/Trading or Profit & Loss A/c from Reports or Queries, software asks you to enter closing stock value. If it does not ask or you are not able to see closing stock accounts when you click on stock entry button, please check following:-
1. Firstly
you can check Stock Schedule defined or not in System Parameter. If not then
please define Opening Stock Schedule in System Parameters (System->System
Maintenance-> System Parameters -> Account Tab). As per below image :
2. After
that you can check Stock A/c created or not in Account Master. If not then
please open Stock A/c in Account Master (Accounts -> Master Data ->
Accounts). If any customer wants to maintain & create Tax wise Stock A/c
then creates A/c as per following.
a. Stock of GST Exempted Goods
b. Stock of 5% GST Goods
c. Stock of 12% GST Goods
d. Stock of 18% GST Goods
e. Stock of 28% GST Goods
3. After
that when generate Trading A/c then software automatically asks to enter Stock Value.
You can enter value as per your Stock Value. Image as per below:
