If you are using single user software on single computer, any machine with windows 7/8/10 with 4GB RAM will be sufficient.

Internet connection is required for online support, patch upgrade and filing of returns. You can use mobile apps, iSales or iPurchase or iOrder services to connect better between distributors and retailers.You can keep your data server computer on static ip and access from remote locations using OS features to connect remote computer as LAN node. Your hardware vendor should be able to set it up.

If you are having one extra user and are using two computers and you have one machine with above configuration, you should keep your data in this machine and you can run another machine as remote desktop user to this machine.

If you are having more than two machine, we recommend you to keep a proper server machine for your data. This server machine should have Windows Server 2008 or later version of Windows Server OS. It is preferable to buy a server machine from reputed brand, a computer being sold as server. All LAN nodes should have same windows OS which can be xp or 7 or 8 or 10. Nodes should have 4GB RAM and server should have 4GB plus 1 GB for each LAN Node e.g. You have 10 extra LAN nodes, your server should have 16 GB RAM.

Windows 95/98/ME or earlier operating systems cannot be used for Unisolve or Cross. Unisolve/Cross do not work on Linux or Mac or Android. You can use teamviewer/Amyadmin or any other such software to access Unisolve/Cross from windows machine in these environments. You can login as remote desktop user on Data Server for this purpose. Windows tablets can be used to run Unisolve or Cross and can access data in LAN or from remote if you are having static IP on data server. Android mobile app is available for salesman to collect orders and receipts. Mobile app is available for ordering by retailer to distributor. 

Your server is used to serve data to LAN nodes and all reports are generated on server. To generate reports on server, You need to set configuration in company master for server ip address and keep the software running on server in the same year as you are using on nodes. Multiple years or multiple principals can be handled using multiple ports in company master and principal master.

Most of Dotmatrix printers, barcode printers and lase/inkjet printers work with Unisolve/Cross. You require to install appropriate printer driver for using any printer in windows. You need to install printer driver and printer before starting software. Invoice formats are available for use on most printers and you can get invoice format customized as per your need. There is a checklist option in Help menu, you should check the same and implement with help of hardware vendor. Please read How to improve speed for Unisolve and Cross ?
