How to Update Generic Name in Products

In this article, we have explained How to update Generic Name (Salt Name) in Products. Many times, you do not update Generic Name in Product Master, If you update Generic Name in Product Master then it’s helps you to show H1 Products, Narcotics Products Report & you can also search any Product through Generic Name also when you make Sales Invoice. 

For this you can do following some steps: 

Step I: Please select Update Generic option through System –> Facilities –> Product –> menu. Image as per below:

Step II: After this software open following screen to update Generic Name in Products Company wise. You can select Master Group, Group & Products then click on Show Products tab in this screen, then software shows all products of particular Master Group which you select. Now you can select Generic Name in Generic Name window which showing in front of every product. After this you can enter Update Generic Tab to update generic name which entered in front of Product name. Software updates Generic Name in Product Master. It’s very easy to update because all products shows in screen & you can just select Generic Name & update. Image as per below:

When you update Generic name then if you select “Others” when you select Generic after selection of Master Group then software shows only Blank Generic Products. Blank Generic Products means software shows only which Product List which is having blank Generic Name in Product Master. 

Step III: If you want to change by particular one Generic Name in all products. Then you can select particular Generic Name in “Select Generic” option and “Update Generic To All” after select Master Group, Group & Products. Image as per below:

After this software update same Generic Name in all products after click on “Update Generic” option on bottom side of this screen. Image as per below:
