How to Add Opening Stock in SwilERP Software


Opening Stock is the amount and value of materials a company has available for sale or use at the beginning of an accounting period. In SwilERP, you can add opening stock in your product. With this option, you'll see the lot details of product as many times as stock was added and you can also view the stock quantity locations wise.

In SwilERP, there are multiple ways to enter the opening stock of products, but we recommend the first option: Opening Stock Entry. Here, you will see the lot details of the products, and you can add the opening stock next to these details.

Start with Login in SwilERP dashboard to initiate the process

  1. Go to the Inventory> Opening Stock Entry.

Process to Add Opening Stock

A new window of opening stock entry will appear in the next slide. Update details in the window for the further process.
    1. First, select name of the Product in a list, or users can also create a new product.
    2. Add a minimum, maximum stock, and shelf number in the dialog box.
    3. After that, all the Lot Numbers of same product will show on to screen automatically.
    4. In which you will see the details of Lot number, Batch number, Expire date, MRP, Sale Rate, Manufacturer, Quantity, etc.
    5. Now, Double click on the blank row of Lot details tab-
      1. Enter the required details of a product i.e Batch number, Expire date, Manufacturer, etc.
      2. After that, enter the opening Quantity of your product in location section.

To view Stock Location wise Details

  1. After enter the Lot Details, you can view location wise stock quantity in the below-given information.
  2. For this, click on the particular lot number. And the stock location of selected lot will appear in the below screen.
  3. Save  the page with given option of saving.
  4. After saving the page stock will be added Automatically.
