How to Restore Data Backup File in SwilERP Software 


How Data Backup Important

While Reinstalling the software, the data backup file is a crucial file for businesses. The backup file is used for system restore to recover uninstalled software. This is the process of creating a copy of the data on your system that you use for recovery in case your original information is lost or corrupted. With SwilERP, you can easily take data backup and save it to your system or drive. Now, if you want to restore the backup file in software, then follow the below-mentioned steps.

Before you begin, make sure the version of backup file and application should be the same to run for restoring the data.

Step:1) Open SwilERP Software

  1. First, open SwilERP Login window.
  2. Go to the Data Link Properties on the right at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Enter the Password to open it. Your local service provider will provide the password, or you can make a ticket on support.swildesk.com.

Step:2) How to Restore Data Backup File

  1. After entering the password, a new window will appear of Data Link Properties.
  2. Now, you have to import data backup file to restore your data in SwilERP software.
  3. Click on the Restore Database option.
  4. Then a pop-up window for selecting the file path will appear.

Step:3) Import Data Backup File

  1. Select the Backup XML File from your system and open it.
  2. Lastly, Save the window with the given option.
  3. While saving the window a pop-up window will appear to enter the password.
  4. After putting password, login with the default credentials to open the SwilERP.

Note: Now, you can start working with restored data, the backup file is successfully uploaded to your system.
