Steps to Create a New Stock Location in SwilERP
Overview of Stock Location:
Stock location is where a company stores its Inventory or stock. It could be a warehouse or a store. Stock location is important for inventory management. It can help reduce time, effort, and costs, making your service streamlined and beneficial for you and your customers. It helps ensure that items can be easily located, tracked, and picked when needed.
In the SwilERP, there is given the option to create a new stock location to transfer the stock from one location to another. Following the below-given process to create a new Stock Location:
Start with Login in the SwilERP dashboard to initiate the process:

Go to the
Masters menu.
- Select the
Inventory > Stock Location.

- After this, stock locations windows will appear on the next slide. Here you will see the List of Locations.
- Four Locations are automatically created from system default (Head office/ Hold Stock/ In Transit/Non-saleable stock).
- Users can also Edit in locations.
- To Print and Delete the new locations, click the Print and Delete option.
- To create a new stock location, click on the New tab.

Steps to create a new Location:
- Enter your Branch name.
- Enter the name of the Location that you have been creating.
- If you want to enter the Address, Station, Locality, Pin Code, and Other contact details, fill them out in these columns.
- To save this page, click on the Save button.
Note: It is mandatory to tick a mark on Billing Location when you create a Saleable stock location.

Note: If users want to create the stock location for a particular Product, Customer, Vendor, Account, and Cost center, then uncheck all the given boxes and select them according to the requirement from their respective sections.
