Update Fonts & Printers in System Default
How to Update Fonts & Printers in SwilERP (RetailGraph)
Sets the font size of the text inside the element to which it is applied. The word font refers to a set of printable or displayable typography or text characters in a specific style and size. Font styles are used in both print and digital text. In SwilERP, users can set fonts size at their convenience to initiate software working.
A printer, also called a computer printer, is an electronic device that accepts text files or images from a computer and transfers them to a medium such as paper. Printers are Output devices used to prepare permanent output devices on paper.
In SwilERP, by updating font size/style and printer setting, users can start working on SwilERP accordingly. There is also an option to select the language in Hindi or English. Follow the below-given steps to know the process.
Start with Login in SwilERP dashboard to initiate the process
- Go to Menu> Options Section> System Default.

SwilERP Dashboard Window Click on the System Default option.
After that, this option asks you to enter the Password to open this window.
For a password, you can contact your Local Service provider or make a ticket on Support.swildesk.com
After entering the password Fonts & Printers window will appear.
As shown in the below-given screen:
Here are the following details that you can update in the Fonts & Printers section
- Language: With this option, users can select the language for the software they want to start working on.
- Hindi: Choose the Hindi language to work with software in this language.
- Or English: Choose the English language to work with software in this language.
- Printer: There is three given option in the fonts and printers window. You will see types of printers where you can print your transactions or reports:
- Dot Matrix: Dot matrix printing, sometimes called impact matrix printing, is a computer printing process in which ink is applied to a surface using a relatively low-resolution dot matrix for layout.
- Laser: Laser printers produce electrostatically charged dots on a light-sensitive drum which attracts toner powder. The toner is transferred to the paper and fixed by a heating process.
- Thermal: Direct thermal printers are most commonly used to print items such as receipts and shipping labels. Thermal transfer printers use a thermal print head to transfer a solid ink from a ribbon onto a label supply (usually made from vinyl, polyester, nylon, or other thicker materials) to produce a permanent print.
- Printer Option: There is four given option in the font and printers window. You will see types of printer option where you can print your transaction or reports:
- Cut Command: The paper cut command must be in a state where no print request is made at the beginning of the line.
- Number of Columns: With this option, you can set the number of columns to print your transactions.
- Left Margin: While taking the print of transactions or reports, you can set the left page margin for printing with this option.
- Right Margin: As same as the left margin, users can set the right margin for the page.
- Fonts: With this option, you can use the software's font Size, Style, Effects, and Script.
- Click on the Display option.
- And there you will see Size, Style, Effects, and Script these details. Select the details as per your requirements and Save the window.
- After selecting these details, this will be applied to the software.
- Printer Port: A printer port is a connector, or port, on the back of a computer that allows it to interact with a printer. These ports enable users to send documents or transactions to a printer. In SwilERP, there are two given options:
- Dot Matrix: A dot matrix printer (DMP) is a type of printer which uses pins impacting an ink ribbon to print. These printers are generally considered outdated, as they cannot create high-quality prints and are costly as well.
- Barcode: A barcode printer is designed to produce barcode labels that can be attached to other objects. Barcode printers use either direct thermal or thermal transfer techniques to apply ink to labels.
- Network Printer: A network printer is part of a workgroup or network of computers that can all access the same printers simultaneously.
- Computer Name: Select the computer name to which you want to connect the network printer.
- Printer Name: Enter the printer name here to connect the printer.
- Tick-Mark on the on the following options to print transactions:
- Shelf wise printing of sales invoice: Users can tick mark on the shelf wise sales invoice printing option to take shelf wise print.
- Fixed Length Format: To fix the length of the paper, Tick-mark on the Fixed Length format option.
- Data Length: Enter the Data Length number here. You have to enter the number that your hardware operator provides. This option is used for updating the weighing machine option in touch screen support system. With this option, the weighing machine automatically fetches the quantity of products.
- Serial Port: Enter the Serial Port number in the column. In this, enter the number that is written on your weighing scale. As same as data length option this option is used for integration of weighing machine in SwilERP.
- Default Remark: There is option to enter Default Remark in Fonts and Printers section. With this, you can enter the default remark that will shown while you take printout.
- Zero Tear Facility: The Zero Tier client connects to virtual networks previously created in the Zero Tier Central web-based UI.
- Cash Drawer: A cash drawer allows storage of checks, cash, coins, stamps, and other valuable items, providing crucial security and organization for your point of sale, POS, and system. In a typical point-of-sale system setup, the receipt printer sends a signal to the cash drawer, triggering it to open only when needed.
- Port: Enter the port number that is provided by your hardware operator.
- Command: As same as the port, you have to enter the command that your hardware operator will provide.
- Grid Style: Grid style excels at dividing a page into major regions or defining the relationship in size, position, entry, navigation and layer between parts of a control building. There are two given options in the grid style section to set the grid, and users can select one option from here.
- Always Entry Mode: By enabling this option, users can always do entry mode on in the software.
- Entry and Navigation Mode: This option enables users to run on the Entry and Navigation mode.
- Save the window with the given option.
