How to Update GSTIN Detail in SwilERP Software Database
What are GSTIN details?
GSTIN, short for Goods and Services Tax Identification Number, is a unique 15-digit identification number assigned to every taxpayer ( primarily dealer, supplier, or business entity) registered under the GST regime.
How can you update System Database (GSTIN) Details as per the Government portal GSTIN Details?
In SwilERP, there is an option to update GSTIN details in the database as per the government portal details. With this option, you can find two types of information: GSTIN details as per the Database and GSTIN details as per the government portal. The user can compare and update GSTIN details which is available on the government site. The correct information will reflect in the window's next column (GSTIN Detail).
With the help of this option, you can update GSTIN details in your software in the Customer/Vendor/Account/Branch.
Note: Make sure that you use an updated version of SwilERP software. For updating software, kindly contact your local service provider or make a ticket on support.swildesk.com.
Start with Login in the SwilERP dashboard to initiate the process:
- Go to the GST menu.
- Select the Update GSTIN Detail.

How to update GSTIN Details in your system database:
- A new window for updating GSTIN details will appear in next slide.
- Select the option from the Master column:
- Customer
- Vendor
- Accounts
- Branch
- You can only view details according to selected option. (For example, you selected customer from the drop-down list)
- After that, click on the View option, and all details are reflected on the below screen.
- Here you will see two types of GSTIN details first one is Data Base Detail, and the second column is GSTIN Detail.
Note:- As you can view in the Data Base Detail Pincode not entered as per the GSTIN Details, in this condition we will update the the Pin code as per the GSTIN Details (details should be same in both side).
Reference Window:
- Select the fields in which you want to update the correct details in your software's database. (For example, we want to update Pin Code details according to the GSTIN Detail).
- After selecting fields in which you want to update, click on the Update button to update it.

- After updating it, a GSTIN Detail Update Successfully message will appear.
- Press OK to continue.

- So after updating the Pin Code, you can also check in the customer master window.
