How to Update Product Tax in Lot Through SwilERP


Introduction

Taxes are termed as compulsory contributions made by individuals or corporations falling under the tax slab to the Government of India. The government’s authority to levy tax in our country is drawn from the Constitution of India, which deals with the supremacy to levy taxes to the State as well as Central governments.

In SwilERP, you have to update the tax rates on products. For this, you can use the Product Tax in Lot option to simultaneously update the tax rates in selected lot numbers. Users can find this option in the GST updates section in the system maintenance form.

Do follow the below-given steps to know the process for updating tax

Start with Login in SwilERP dashboard to initiate the process

  1. Go to the System> System Maintenance> Reposting> Repost Receipt Entry

How to update tax rate in product's lot

  1. Go to the GST Update section and click on the Product Tax in Lot option.
  2. Click on the Product Filter tab and select the product on which you want to update the tax rate in lot.
  3. After that, all your selected products will appear in the below-given Product, Sales and Purchase Tax columns.
  4. Click on the Change button.
As shown in the below-given image:

  1. A "Success Message" will come on your screen and all the lots of your product will get changed.

Note: Once you change the tax in lots, your previously created bills remain with the old tax. The new billing will rectify the new taxes updated on products and lots.
