How to view Day Book of Accounts in SwilERP


What's the meaning of day book?

The Day Book lists all transactions made on a particular day and, by default, displays all the transactions for the same day. Users can view particular date wise details in Day Book via SwilERP. Also, day book shows the details of daily transactions to match with the GST and Tax rates. The respective account name of the transaction is also visible in this report.

In the other way, a general journal is a day book or subsidiary journal in which transactions relating to adjustment entries, opening stock, accounting errors, vouchers amount, tax rates, customer name, etc are viewed. The source documents for day book entries is journal vouchers, copies of management reports and invoices transaction.



In SwilERP, there is a four types of report in which users can view day book:
  1. Voucher Detail Wise
  2. Month Wise
  3. Day Wise
  4. Account/Voucher Wise 
Login in SwilERP dashboard and go to the accounts section
  1. Click on the Reports> Day Book.

How to view Day Book?

A new window of day book will appear in next slide: 
  1. Select the Date Range from which you want to view the report. 
  2. Select the transaction name from the Day Book column according to that report will appear, i.e. Sales Register, Purchase Register, Sales Register (GST), etc.  
  3. Now, select the Report type from the column, as per report will appear. 
  4. Users can also Select and Filter the account. 
  5. Click on the View tab.

With this report, you'll see following details: 
  1. Invoice Date- In this, users can view particular date wise report, (For example- 12/04/2022 transactions are shown in one series).
  2. Reference Number-  Details will show according to reference number. 
  3. Account Name- The respective account name of the transaction is also visible in the window. 
  4. Invoice Number- Users can also view invoice no wise details. 
  5. Voucher Amount- Amount of voucher will also show in the same window.
  6. All the Other Details i.e. GSTNo, Tax details, Adjustment, etc, users can also view these details.

Export report in excel format 

In SwilERP, there is option to convert day book in excel format, and users can also share this report in excel format. Do follow the below-given process to convert file into excel.  
  1. Go to the Display option. 
  2. Click on the "T" tab to convert your file in excel format.
