How to Export GSTR1 in CSV & Excel format
In the latest version of SwilERP (3.2.17.13), a new update has been introduced for GSTR-1 reporting. Now, users can export GSTR-1 data in Excel or CSV format with an added feature: separate HSN summaries for B2B and B2C transactions. This change helps businesses easily view and manage HSN details for each type of saleโbusiness-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C)โin a more organized and clear manner.
Start with Login in the SwilERP to Initiate the Process
- Go to GST > GST Forms (Offline Tool) > Export GSTR-1 (Excel)
- The Export GSTR-1 (Excel) window will appear, as shown in the next slide.

Select the date range in the "From" and "To" fields.
Example: 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025
Tick the checkbox for Export Debit Note in CDNR to include debit note data.
Tick the checkbox for Export Separate HSN for B2B and B2C to generate HSN summaries separately for both.
Click the OK button to proceed with the export.

A new window will appear to save the exported file (shown in the next slide).
Choose the location (path) where you want to save the file.
Enter a file name of your choice.
Click Save to download the Excel file to the selected location.
The Excel file contains all GSTR-1 details, including HSN summaries.
Separate sheets are available for B2B and B2C supplies.
You can view HSN summaries in both the B2BSupplies and B2CSupplies sheets.
Review all details before uploading to the GST Offline Utility.
- Go to GST > GST Forms (Offline Tool) > Export GSTR-1 (CSV)
- The Export GSTR-1 (CSV) window will appear, as shown in the next slide.

- Select the date range using the "From" and "To" fields to define the period for which you want to export data. (For example: 01/08/2024 to 31/08/2024)
- Tick the checkbox Export Debit Note in CDNR to include all debit notes in the exported CSV file.
- Tick Export Separate HSN for B2B and B2C if you want to separate HSN details.
- Click the OK button to proceed.
- A new window will appear asking you to select the destination folder.
- Browse and select the folder where you want to save the CSV file, then click OK.
