Manage Product Categories in SwilMart Admin

How to Manage Product Categories in the SwilMart Admin Portal

SwilMart Admin’s Category Management helps you easily organize your product catalog. You can add or edit categories, manage visibility, filter lists, and export reports—all from a simple, user-friendly dashboard.

Getting Started 

  1. Go to the SwilMart Admin login page.
  2. Enter your registered email and password.
  3. Click Sign In to access the admin dashboard.

  1. Select Category from the left-side menu.
  2. Use the search bar to locate categories quickly.
  3. Apply the sort dropdown to organize categories by different criteria.
  4. Click Refresh to update the dashboard after changes.
  5. Use the Export button for reports or integration with other tools.

Exporting and Monitoring  

  1. Export your current category view in formats like CSV, Excel, or PDF.
  2. Print the category list for records or review.

Managing Categories

  • Use checkboxes to select categories for bulk actions.
  • Activate, deactivate, or delete categories from the Actions menu.
  • Edit any category to update details, visibility, or SEO settings.

Creating a New Category
  

  • Click the New Category button in the upper-right corner.

Step 1: Basic Information
  

  • Enter Category Name and URL Slug.

  • Optionally select a Parent Category for hierarchy.

  • Set Status (active/inactive) and Sort Order.

  • Add short and long descriptions.

  • Choose display options (featured/highlighted category).

Step 2: Visibility Settings  

  • Choose where the category is visible (menu, footer, homepage).

  • Set platform availability (B2B, B2C, Marketplace, etc.).

Step 3: SEO Settings  

  • Input SEO Title, Description, and up to 10 keywords.

  • Adjust the search engine robots tag as needed.

  • Click Create Category to add it to your catalog.
